I haven't read the series, however I have watched all three seasons of the anime. With that, I simply loved the characters. I'm not into mecha anime either, but I watched it cause it was funny. I really wanted to see the characters develop more as the series went on, unfortunately that didn't happen, which was dissappointing to me. Still for some reason I finished watching them all. The first series I felt was definitely better than the other two. It started to loose something in the other series.

does the comics follow the same as the series cause ive never seen the comics before it sounds pretty good!? and does it have the same characters?
i dont think the comics are over here cause im on the isle of man

Having seen the entire series (The Two seasons and Fumofu), I have to say that it is a decent mid-range series. Its not the best, it has its moments and is an enjoyable anime. But there are better series' out there.

i like the funny version so much better! i mean it got action stuff blowing up and humer what more can you ask for?

I watched some of the eps there pretty good. But its like the gundam seris and it has some pretty good action.

I actually enjoy this series alot. I've only managed to see the first 3 dvds so far, but I'm excited to see the rest of it. I like the comedy and the action together. Not to mention, I think Kaname and Sousuke are hilarious.

I'm not really a mecha fan either, but for some reason it doesn't bother me in this series.

I'm in it specifically for the mecha, and the fact everyone thinks I'm too close of a match to Souske.

Is it a funny anime show with some action attached to it. I really like the battle and funny scenes. The bad thing about this anime show is that it never answers the question of wheter Souseke and Kaname ended up together. Overalll it is a good anime show, it consists of 3 seasons. The funniest season has to be the second one.
