yea well me and my friend been wondering , throughout the whole serie we've seen that evry class of bending has a high lvl mastery for example ...

water ~ ice
fire ~ lightening
earth ~ metal
wind ~ ?

what do you think is the higher lvl of air bending ? if there's even one.

Yeah...I agree with you there...Every element in the Avatar series has a higher element than the normal one,

I've been wondering the same.....Air = ?

Since Aang can create tornadoes and stuff...I don't think there's a higher level up...

Sorry, I know this post isn't much of a help So I'll be interested to see what the rest would say....

you should proobably think...what could there be? If anything, the authors have something in mind and, being american, we might be able to think similar thoughts. As for myself, I'd have to go with controlling a form of gravity as an upgrade to airbending. Just a thought though.

I agree there that the authors might have something planned, hopefully we'll find out in season three (Fire)...I guess.

If he were able to control gravity, he could just push anyone, anywhere at any given time. He would've easily beaten many of the opponents simply by pushing them back X amount of feet or lifting them into the outer atmosphere killing them due to no oxygen. That's a possible reason why.

I really don't think that gravity is the high mastery of air that would be too extrime but whatever it is I'm sure is going to be great.

on the contrary, i would see them doing that.

but, maybe there Isnt another at all. i belive the air nomads only recived the arrow on them after they became a master airbender. so therefore aang is already one, and doesnt do anything above air. so meybe there isnt one...

or thing of it like this- minerals that make up metal are on the ground. so manipulating metal would just be a specialised form of it. bending ice is similar, as ice is just frozen water, it wouldnt be that different. i belive fire is bent through manipulation of particles in the air, so that could be also how they end up using lightning. if you think about it, what is there for air to do? create a void maybe. but i dont picture the show trapping foes in a vaccum.. its a bit too feirce.

well maybe it's you know just being able to fly without that thingamajire or the ability to do something like controling the waves in the air so that he could change what people hear or see.
