I like the subtle romance between Integra and Alucard. There is only one scene in the original show where you see some kind of attachment. When both are standing next to each other on a balcony and watch... something. I can't remember if it was an attack, I haven't watched Hellsing for so long. But that scene was very deep, although it was short and on a very subtle level.

it's a great anime...i like the action...bloods and body everywhere...i like vampires too so that's why i like it...alucard rocks in the series...kill all the bad vampires and zombies...

I love Hellsing because I'm a Dracula junkie who follows every cheesy spin offs as bad it could be. Hellsing was refreshingly good take with twists but using the stock characters they are usually employed, Hirano gave them an original development and direction I enjoyed.

The OVA was a disappointment until episode 5, now Madhouse took over, half of the staff was fired, including the direction, I'm finally seeing a decent product.

Anime... was weird, I still like it, but is not much as "Hellsing" but a Hellsing/Elisabeth musical (Ai to Shi no Rondo) crossover. Is like they took Empress Elisabeth, her lover/rival/enemy/companion Der Tod (Lord Death) and the estranged son of Sissy, Franz, and disguised them as Integra, Alucard and Seras.

Hitodama if you like Alucard x Integra, you should go read the manga. Their relationship is slightly less subtle (the last chapter is even called Romancia) and different because their characterizations and arcs are.
