I absolutely love Hellsing Ultimate. I've never watched the original series, and I don't plan to until I feel like it. Also, I refuse to watch Ultimate subbed bcuz the dub is just that great IMO. There are very few anime that are able to pull that off for me. I know the dub stops after I think the fourth OVA but At Anime Expo 2010, Funimation Entertainment announced that they do have all three of the new OVA episodes 5-7 and the original TV series and will be released in 2011. So MAYBE the dubs will continue. I will wait until 2011 to continue this anime. I know...how weird of me.

YAY! Someone who agrees with me!
I don't understand how someone could take the series seriously when the British, Irish, and Germans are screaming at each other in Japanese. It just feels unnatural and the English voice acting is top quality, too. I understand for the Japanese because it's their native tongue, and I respect how hard they worked on the series because the voice acting is well done. Still, I find the English dub superior.

Yeah, the first ep is alright. If I recall right the 2nd too. But then it starts getting so mother****ing disgusting. They converted this great series I loved because of it's dark touch into some sort of bloody gag show. The Ultimate OVA is a joke, something I hate myself for watching, because everytime I'm now watching Hellsing I'm getting this memories of an bad-drawn vampire bitch slaughtering some people on big military ships. They even made a Hitler-Comeback. For me, as someone who lives in Germany and isn't a german, it's kinda a strange feeling, but if it was only this it would've been okay. But the whole story got ****ed up and ruined my good opinion of Hellsing.

I'm assuming you never read the manga. The first Hellsing series was made while Kohta Hirano was still writing the manga. They weren't sure what to do so they made up Incognito and left a cliffhanger for an ending. So, they decided to remake the series following the actual story plot and heavily follow the art style from the manga.
While I enjoy the artwork for the first anime series a lot better, the story is nothing in comparison to Ultimate. I suggest reading the manga instead if you're upset over the animations for the series. Also, there are Germans who love Hellsing. I have friends who live in Germany, and are obsessed with the series.
