The chief gets my vote as well. Nice usage of the Spike vector...although personally I think a different color for the BG might've been better...just me saying though.
As for Naru...ugh, I mean Xelhes' entry I felt that it was a bit too cluttered even though it all came together well. But I did love the choice of colors he used seeing how it goes well with the render of Naruto used.
It was a real tough decision to make here...

My vote went to chief this time
Xelhes you should have picked a different stock for this o__O;;
It looks too oversharpened, and it takes it out for me.
Chief I like yours ^^;; It's clean and straight to what you want it to be. But the text can use some good use xD;;;
I have to agree with Pyro Psycho here, the signature could have benefited from some softening up, and that was the only thing keeping me from voting for you.
The naruto image looks shoddy. But your colour work is nice Xelhes.
Chief's signature is a little bland but the vector is nice.
my vote went to Xelhes cause of the nice blending and vectoring. not to mention the light source and all. to me he's sig just came together as a whole, though render could of been better, but i can't completely mark him down on just that alone. i mean he had great text that blended well, nice lighting, and blending of the render.
i'll admit chief had the better stock, i.e. it wasn't over sharpen like Xelhes, but the clash of colours kinda took it away for me. maybe if he had a better colour transition he could of had my vote, like putting a bit of black and red into the outline of the render, but it just wasn't there for me.
but i have to admit, its a no brain-er that the vectoring in both of these sig's where both first class.
Xelhes' central graphic is crap (and doesn't appear to be a vector at all)... but his sig is still much more interesting to look at.
