A lot of people still have not seen the anime Basilisk, though it only recently came out on boxed set. But let me assure you it is worth every second of it. The characters are all memorable if not "good guys." The animation and design is so much more artistic than your usual ninja vs ninja anime. There is a whole slew of characters on both sides that you will route for even though you know only one can win. it is only 26 episodes long. And the last episode has an aftermath. The special features on the single DvD releases were also charming, and had insightful thought by the cast and fan mail from japanese viewers. Plus haiku about each character. Fun stuff.
