Yes, I'm looking for the gory type of anime. Like, ones that make you shift your gaze to something else because it's stomach churning to watch. I like twisted anime, and I have a few on my mind which I haven't watched yet but are planning to in the future. I'm kind of making a little schedule of what to watch in what order, haha..
Well, to make it easier, here is a list of those I have already watched and those I am planning on watching. I also like a good plot with it.
Watched
- Higurashi (All Seasons)
- Elfen Lied (Wasn't gory in the slightest, but beautiful plot.)
- Highschool of the Dead
- Hellsing Ultimate OVA (Aswell as the episodes.)
Unfortunately that isn't many, as I'm already tied up in other animes such as Bleach, I am waiting for episode 311 to come out on Tuesday.
Planning on Watching
- Claymore
- Kite
- Berserk
- Afro Ninja (..Is that even gory? I hear from some that it is, and others it isn't.)

Now if you really want an adult themed Anime series that is painful to watch. I would recommend the series called 'Now and Then, Here and There' (a.k.a Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku). This is the series that I recommend for use as shock therapy for the goth inclined...
Along a similar vein, I would also recommend the series called 'Saikano' (a.k.a. 'She, the Ultimate Weapon') for all of its heart wrenching glory...
Mr. Miyata's recommendations are easily more twisted than all the ones you listed combined.
If you like graphic violence and aren't scared of the typically 90s version of it then you might like Genocyber as well. It's a 5-episode OVA.
I just looked them up, along with a couple of AMV's, and I have to say they are indeed.. unique? They will all definately be on my 'To Watch' list.

Also be careful with AMVs, they tend to spoil.
Yes, I'm always careful with them. I read descriptions, and then see if there are any comments ranting about there being no spoiler warning. (;
I used to have a bad habit of finding out the endings before I actually watched the anime, and example being Wolf's Rain. I still watched and sobbed at it anyway, like, haha.

watch rurouni kenshin and basilisk they got theirr amounts of gore too and berserk is horror =)
