This book was bland and uninspiring. While it does give a lot of information about the weapon and its designer it is packed with worthless passages and the author repeats himself. A sure sign e ven the author couldn't stand to read the whole thing. While half the book makes for good history the rest is a poor argument for gun control and a lecture on how Kalashnikov should feel guilty about how his design has been used. He also spends too much time talking about the M16 which has nothing to do with the AK.
