One of the few books of which I can honestly say: The film is better. I like the film's ending a lot more than the book's ending. The book was apparently released with this ending only in the USA.
Though the Nadsat was intriguing.
I finished this a little while ago now, and was really enthralled not only but the material but also the use of English. What sort of effect would that conditioning have on people, apart from the drugs? Definitely a good read, but not for the squeamish.

lol, i watched this movie at the tender age of 7. it scarred me for life.
but after a recent rewatching i strangely love this movie. you realize there is a disturbing brillance to it. however, as said it isnt for the sqeamish.
I haven't actually seen the film. I'm always unsure about movies made from books with such a heavy narrative. Is it worth digging up?

The film was great. I liked the craziness that ensued with Alex and his gang. Saw a showing of it at a theater. I was out on a date weirdly enough. My date passed out through the movie though.
But if you liked the book, you'll like the movie. The movie is good at standing alone too.
i love the book and the movie. who better than to direct the film? well it's none other than the great late legendary stanley kubrick. this is sssooo ahead that there;s no other director like him.
YYYEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
never read it. I really like the Golden Compass though. I no it was by an aheist, but it doesn't show till them end. said Adam and Eve didn't exist, jerk.
My signature pic!
I absolutely love it!
Looks like I'll have to go find it.
Anyone have recommendations in the Clockwork vein?
