I messed up big time and it's going to cost my family a fortune.
So I was driving with my mom the other day heading to a family BBQ and I rear ended someone in heavy traffic. My moms car is pretty much totaled, the person I hit had some bumper and muffler damage but not horrible enough that the entire bumper is falling off or anything like that. The person I hit ended up hitting the person in front of her, but the only damage to the person in front of her is scratches. The front of the car of the person I hit has a small hole in the bumper but nothing else. Of course my mom is disabled so the insurance she has on her car is some sort of disabled persons insurance that doesn't cover liability. To make matters even worse the person I hit decided that once the cops showed up that her neck was now suddenly hurting. Funny how that works.
So basically, in addition to the fact that the car is wrecked there is a very high probability that i'll be getting sued for some bs injury claim. Yay me. If I make it out of this without both me and my mom going bankrupt i'll consider it a plus.

Sorry about that. Your life does really suck for the next few weeks.

The lady obviously was in look for some attention so exageration came in handy...
I am sorry to hear all that man... and I really hope it turns for the better...
I'll be praying for you (don't know if you believe in God but still I'll pray for you and your mom, and who knows, a miracle may be on the way ^_~)

I can't believe this actually happened but this really sucks but hope you make it out of this without having any trouble and not being bankrupt.
Re: I messed up big time and it's going to cost my family a fortune.
Just keeps getting worse. I had to pull 2 american dog ticks out of me today, didn't have tweezers so I had to use tissues. I really hope I don't get the Rocky Mountain spotted fever that they can sometimes carry. That is a really really nasty disease and if you get it you're in for major hurt. With how my luck is going lately I wouldn't be at all surprised if I end up getting it. *sigh*
Week so far in a nutshell:
-Monitor breaks, am borrowing one from a friend currently
-Car Accident, 4000 dollar estimate to fix the car (but at least both me and my mom are uninjured)
-Probably going to be sued, lady faking injury
-Pulled two ticks off of me today, have to hope I don't get sick from it.
Week from hell so far.
Re: I messed up big time and it's going to cost my family a fortune.
your like my brother man I swear he has the worst f'in luck
if your lucky she just had whiplash (takes awhile to kick in when I was rear-ended I didn't feel it till that night) but it should go away its just a quick strain. So as long as she's not a sue happy biotch then maybe that'll be fine. Crazy about the no-liability insurance though....normally thats the one thing your required to have.
Question though do you not have your own insurance? I mean yes the car has its own but if you have your own personal you might have an angle to save you some headache, shoot me a note

Nah bro, I actually don't have my own because I haven't had my own car in quite some time. In NJ you're only required to have insurance if you own a car. Some states require it (or so I have heard) even if you just have a license. Unfortunately if you look up dollar a day insurance you'll find the insurance she has. It's one of the only insurance plans that don't require liability. It also catches a lot of flack for it, and rightfully so. What an awful plan to have, no protection at all. Well, as for the ticket I got for careless driving I have to go to make a traffic court appearance for that apparently since the lady started faking injury. Hoo-rah.. more headache to deal with.
