I got a 12" Alpine Type S with a Clarion APA 1101 Amp.
For those of you who know what kind of amp that is, I'm fully aware of its colossal suckage. I'm going to be replacing it next payday.
Total cost of Amp, Sub, Install: $256
Sub + Amp + Box: $75 (bought off a neighbour)

Install w/Taxes: $113

Amp is kinda "blah" but the speakers are pretty sweet! ^_^ You got yourself a pretty sweet deal on the whole set up too.
There's a pawn shop in town that regularly gets subwoofers in stock, most notably Cerwin Vegas, I'm keeping my eyes out for better speakers. I also work with an Audiophile and he's given me some pointers on getting better sound out of my car.
