It's official. For the first time in 18 years, I finally had a good Valentine's day! I'm so happy, haha.

Things seemed to work out rather nicely. I had the day off from work, Lauren had to work in the evening, and one of my bros was home from college for the weekend. I was woken up rather rudely. My mother was pounding on the door, forcing me to wake up if I was ever going to beat the traffic to the mall. Once there, I was on a mission. I was going to buy Lauren a green hippo. Well, unfortunately I had to wing it, as I couldn't find one. I ended up buying her a blue hippo and a green turtle, an amusing card, and put them all in a green gift box. Yes, she likes green. Well, I felt very satisfied. So, with Hallmark bag in hand, my folks and I indulged ourselves at the local Chinese restaurant. No place makes wonton soup like Golden Palace.

I headed home to spruce myself up a bit. You know, put on the deodorant i neglected to earlier, spritz a little body spray on me, and brush my teeth. My destination was then my girlfriend Lauren's house. Once there, we exchanged gifts and began watching the more recent version of the Willy Wonka movie.

After a few minutes of kissing, I attempted to reach bright salvation in the comfort of Lauren's pantaloons. To my dismay, she was currently cursed with the monthly biological padlock. Yes, she had her period. This didn;t bother me once, as she's not yet ready to have sex, so I wasn't bummed at all. It was just nice to be with her. My word I love her.

Well, she then had to head to work, so her sister drove us both to the local mall, where i met an old friend of mine. He and I caught up a bit, shared so dinner, and went to see a movie.

What did we see? Well, Friday the 13th of course! Well, it certainly lived up to the first three Jason Voorhees movies, and certainly brought a smile to my face! Go see it! We then had a hankering for some chocolate milk, so our night ended in the parking lot of a local grocery store.

And that was my V-Day!
