Thread: Graphics Card Get!

YAYYYYYYYY!!!!

Abu got me a graphics card a few days back, and it finally arrived in the mail today! And it is AWESOMMME~!!

... I'm no techy, I'm a gadgetier. I know how to work gadgets and collect them - I DON'T KNOW how they work or the special geek-names they're given. I just know them by product name.
So in that regard, don't ask me anything specific about this thing.
To me: It's just a shiny, pretty, big-@$$ graphics card that was worth its price.

What is it exactly?

RADEON SAPPHIRE HD4850
comes with a big-@$$ fan that makes little-to-no-noise. With that in there, the graphics card can run at full-power without melting itself to death.
........ at least, that's as far as I know.

It seemed like the best choice considering I needed a graphics card that was under $200 and ran on VISTA.
It's odd how many graphics cards don't say whether or not they work on VISTA.

... I assume most new models do, but I can't take that risk.
So the only one that seemed good enough to be under $200 and guaranteed me it worked on VISTA, was this baby.
It was in fact $136.99.
Pretty good considering that it doesn't overheat like a mofo.
And it suits my purposes well!

I CAN FINALLY PLAY SOULSTORM AGAIN!!!
I haven't played that game in months.
... I love RTSs...
It doesn't matter if I have a similar RTS on my 360 or what, I just want to play THAT one or THAT one - because all games are different no matter what genre they belong to.

... speaking of which, I can finally get Dawn of War II.
Awesomeness.

And my current games in here get a graphics upgrade! Yahoo!
