I can't really keep my head on straight unless I feel passionate.
Anywho. I was strolling through NWF again, and read this on a PS3-360-Wii thread:
The topic was stating an obvious stat: Wii has the most youngest players, the PS3 has the most oldest players.Quote:

Wii's userbase is like an inverse bell curve. It appeals strongest to those outside the core late-teen young adult demographic, while PS3 and 360 are on the inside of that curve looking out
It's understandable for the PS3 to skew a bit older, too. Aside from the price, Sony has clearly targeted the device as to be part of the financially independent adult's media center.
360 is the Sega Genesis of the day. It's where the cool kids play, or at least that's how the marketing makes it appear, but the marketing does lead, somewhat, to the resulting demographics."
Kinda' obvious when you think about it, eh?
But the reason why I quoted the above, was that it explained exactly what console wars was about if you looked at it from a good distance.
Give it another read, it's 100% true.
In the console wars, everyone's already set in stone when they're fanboys/girls.
To many, the Wii is for "kiddies".
To many, the 360 is full of ***holes.
To many, the PS3 is just a blu-ray player.
And in many fashions, those are true, but in the same fashion - there's a lot more to the systems. And those who discriminate against them, usually are missing out on a lot of great experiences.
Luckily, and awfully, I have all 3 systems... including a PSP and DS...
....... that sounds lucky to most, but it's a killer to the wallet.
Trying to catch up with all the great games makes me die over and over again in the financial department.
*sigh* But it's fun.
For now, I've been taking a break from buying games. I've been making stages on LBP - making it easier for me to ignore new games since I'm technically making new games. :p
Sadly, I missed out on pre-ordering House of the Dead : Overkill. *sigh* If any game was worth pre-ordering, it was that game.
Most people find that game lame, but IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LAME.
It's based on those ridiculously awesome Grindhouse horror movies made by that one guy... Q.. Quen... ...Tar... er... (gawd I'm awful at remembering names) ... *googles* Quentin Tarantino!
Yeah, that guy. I hope I'm not mixing up my filmology here. (probably am)
:D The result? AN AWESOMELY LAME HORROR-MOVIE-ESQUE RAIL SHOOTER!
... some people find rail shooters boring, but there's a bajillion FPSs and Over-the-Shoulders out there that I think it balances itself out.
... I prefer Over the shoulders... makes me feel like the character, not the screen. Not that I hate FPSs, I just like the OTS look. ... the best are the OTSs that can go FPS.
... has there ever been a movie where it was all in First Person view?
... AND WHY IS THERE NO BREAK BETWEEN WINTER AND SPRING SEMESTER?!! T__T
I'm really considering not taking any classes this Spring. But... I know it'll piss off the parentos.
Remember folks: Eat 3 meals a day! And eating rice in all your meals doesn't make you Asian!
