Oh how I'm looking forward to it, especially after watching this vid:
The Fold – Wii Sports Resort Airplane Battle – WiiFolder
Oh BTW, that's WiiFolder. An excellent site to bookmark! If you're a fan of great games for the Wii, that's the site for you. Josh gets the games earlier than most of us do (usually still in Japanese), and he's more than willing to show us the fun you could have with the games.
It's also hooked to Twitter. So if you've got a twitter, go ahead and follow it:

I've always been excited about Wii Sports Resort - but I've been holding back the hype in me for the sole purpose of: It's going to take FOREVER to come out.

I've always been excited for the WiiMotion+... while many people doubt the true 1:1 capability, you can at least be assured it can get as close as it gets compared to upcoming media technology. ...Nintendo however, assures that it is true 1:1 capability (don't trust 3rd party companies yet... they haven't fully mastered its use yet) - however, I still will hold a sense of doubt until I see full mastery of the device... Nintendo claims that WSR will prove it.
To me, it won't matter if WSR ain't 1:1 in every way, it'll still be a whole new experience with the improved motion control.

So anyways... WSR for me was ALL ABOUT motion+.
My Wii hasn't been getting much love from me for a variety for reasons - but one of them is the lack of great 3rd party support. 3rd parties are trying, but they simply feel more comfortable trying on the PS3 or 360 (for obvious statistical, technological, and marketing reasons)... 3rd party Wii games are great, but not as great as they can be.
...and though many games have come out for the Wii that are 3rd party and at least C+ games - I really think they can do better.

Motion+ would encourage that spark for the creative 3rd party companies. ...only time will tell if anyone has enough balls to really give it their all with it.
Hopefully it means more of a surge of good 3rd party support.

And while many people have been going ga-ga for the jet-ski and sword-fighting
(I have also been entranced by it), I was always much more curious about the basketball.
Not the 3-pointer, but the actual basketball game. Many people find it gimmicky, but it actually looked kinda'... challenging to me. Not control-wise of course, but fun sports-type. Simple and basic, yet still has the strategy and skills of sports games
(much like the "gimmicky"-sports games in the past that focused more on special powers or character costumes: They had gimmicks, but they still were as challenging as any other basketball videogame).

And I was quite glad when I saw this two days back:
The Fold – Wii Sports Resort Basketball – WiiFolder
Indeed awesome.

Like I've said before, the WSR site in Japan's already open. That site just tries to show the bare-bones basic awesomeness of WSR
(showing off controls and basic gameplay), and if you're curious to visit the site, I already posted it in the
VG stuff topic
(in my journal):

It's comment

And if you're curious about more specific gameplay in Wii Sports Resort. Just browse in:

Like I said, a solid Wii-site. I never found anything disappointing in there
(other than a few games that I wish he would've reviewed).
- Lookin' forward to WSR?
- Not looking forward to it (if not: why?)?
- What activity are you looking forward to?
- What activity are you gonna' ROCK in?
- What activity are you gonna' SUCK in?
- And most important of all: Who are you going to play with?!
