Eh, it has happened to me too. In fact, it's only been recently [after 17 long years] that my fear of [attractive?] women has slighted.
At first, I was too shy to talk to them and all. Then I spend around 3-5 years in a co-ed school, where I was improving.
Then I moved, and didn't talk to women properly for the next 5 years. Yup, it worsened. :laugh:
Only recently when uni started, I started not to give a damn, you know. It's not like they're going to eat me alive or something. If I want to talk to them about something, I do so. If they present antagonistic behaviour, then **** them. :laugh:
So yeah, I don't care much anymore. Though I do keep my distance. For some reason.

Messy breakups can do that to a man. It gives us that feeling that all women are like that. However, you feeling regret about this actually means that you are getting better from it. It means you were getting to a point where you are ready to start trying once more. I know how you must feel. You have that nagging feeling in the back of your head and the pit in your stomache, and the only words to come out of your mouth are either "F**K!" or "Damnit!" Chaos was right. You do need to try. Granted, fear of rejection can be a powerful thing, but this is where thinking negatively helps.
Take it from a guy who puts no positive notions into asking out a girl. Just go up and give it a try. If she refuses, then you've lost nothing, for you knew it would happen. However, if she says yes, the victory is much sweeter, and you can finally tell Chaos to "Open mouth, insert foot." This is how I came to date Lauren, my current girl of a year and a half.
