Recession doesn't seem so bad...
Seems like a very asinine comment I know. But at the same time I have enjoyed better customer service at places and shorter waiting lines in restaurants, movie theaters and theme parks.
Waiters work harder to keep their job and service better for more tip, and two weeks ago when I hit up Great America theme park I barely had to wait for any ride. I dunno, it's very conflicting.
For once I have a smidge of money to spend when the economy is down and it's kinda nice. Not trying to rub it in any face and I apologize if it seems like it. As much as I hate my job the fact that I can reap the reward makes it easier to get stuck in a cubicle Monday to Friday for most of the day.

^_^ it's nice when people work hard, it just sucks that it takes an economic downfall to bring it out of them~

fear is a great motivational tool?
Re: Recession doesn't seem so bad...
Economic recessions are great for people with plenty of money. That's a given.
Re: Recession doesn't seem so bad...
Like Tyler Durden said. you must remember "you are not the contents of your wallet."
Re: Recession doesn't seem so bad...
it sucks more for those working in retail though. Most retail stores force you to make people apply for credit cards regardless the costumer saying "No" more than once.
Re: Recession doesn't seem so bad...
Also, less customers mean less people working and less hours. I work in retail and they make me do everything because they're too cheap to have anyone else working at the same time.
