It's not bogus. It's orderly. Most community forums have rules and guidelines against advertising. Advertising is nothing more than spam and nobody likes spam.

Generic anime site is most likely generic.

If that was the only reason you joined AO then may I presume your stay with us has ended abruptly? Ergo, this thread can be closed now?


You could always try to go for the "I'll make a lot of friends here and we can point each other to many interesting anime related sites" routine but hey, that's just me.
