You're missing the point of keeping a journal: A journal is meant to be a place where you write down your thoughts, primarily for yourself, and if you want to, for others to read.
People don't have to respond to a journal entry for it to mean anything to the person who wrote it.
Then there's the very fact that personal topics don't generate that much discussion, case in point being the activity of journal section. Why have people post topics that are of a personal nature to the general forums where they won't be responded to anyways? Hence the rule that personal matters required to be posted in journals.
If you're that concerned with getting attention from other people, then you got issues man.
Lastly, Moving to feedback and questions, issuing infraction. Learn to read the section rules man.
