How much RAM do you have in your computer?? I mean by clicking more, all you get is another pop up window with all the smilies. It should not be able to freeze your computer up with that.Originally Posted by deodaclan18

What the flip, it was working fine until today. I mean I can have a lot of screens up at once sometimes, but it still happens if I only have one thing up. As for my RAM, my system info says I got 256 MB of Ram if that's what you mean pyoro.

256MB of RAM is considered the bare minimum to run Windows XP. You really need 512MB of RAM to run reliably without problems...
Well, sure I have problems once in a while with it, I just don't get why it all of the sudden stopped working today. Oh well, I'll be upgrading soon anyways. Thanks for the info guys.
In that case, also try to scan your computer for spyware and other things that can slow your computer down. Also, with only 256 mb of RAM, having too many programs opened at the same time can kill the computer too. Even with the 700+ mb I have on my computer, my firefox kills it once in a while.
Hopefully that is the cause of your problem.

They have good deals on RAM upgrades, at least in my area. I can get a 512MB for like $40.00 after a rebate.
Also in the future plan on having lots of RAM. Craptastic Vista uses 1GB of ram, so plan on needing a least two.
