i wish they did it differently though. moree along the lines of having to keep posting a min monthly instead of a 500 min to gain it. for example i just joined and post say 59 posts this month. When the new month begins the sight would automaticaly make and transfer anyone who posted the min amout of posts last month as comuity memebers this month till the start of the next month. This way they can keep out the leachers and not punish people who actualy post
Good point there bro.. I guess they did that in the past, but that didn't stop leachers from coming.. Just wait maybe they might change that. Before you were here you only could become a senior member only if you had 500 posts, but then they changed it to 100 posts, that change might also happen to the gallery section, so just keep a moderate posting and enjoy your stay..:thumb:Quote:

Well, while we do appreciate feedback from our members, understand that this is a system that - as far as I can recall - worked in the past, so there's no real need to change it. If you had signed up a few years ago, the gallery would still be CM-only. We just hadn't gotten around to doing that yet with this version of AO.

Im glad that non members can't leech wallpapers anymore; if only they would post a comment or 2 then it might be ok.
If you do that, you also lose your community member status every month, as does jaderabbit and his near 1,500 posts which seems a bit outrageous. Not only that, but you're trying to make it to where a new member can gain community member status more easily. This is the whole point of the rule; to make it more difficult to get into the gallery, thus restricting it to only those who actively contribute and continue to contribute to the site.Quote:
