Mod of the month?

Seen as there are so many people telling everyone how bad the Mods of AO are I came up with an idea to do a Mod of the month award.

Now tell me if this sounds stupid but I think it would be great if Mods could actually get praise from members instead of bull**** all the time. I think that maybe AO could have a Mod of the month award system where the Mod which has done the most to help members this month, help the posting system, etc, should be awarded with a trophy of some sort.

I don't think it's such a good idea. We're not trying to find out who's everyone's favourite staff member here, this isn't a personality cult. A little adversity towards the authorities is never bad anyway.

Well I understand what your saying Hassun but I just don't see why people always see what they do wrong but not what they do right, so I thought maybe a little award system might help members to feel the mods are trying to help you not hurt you.

I don't think it will make us more loved by the AO members. Our 'police'-like role will always offend/annoy/discomfort some members.

Yes that is very true, but i'm sure that would only be the newbies all the higher ranked members of AO would probally join in.

If I was still a newbie then I would have never fought back against you Hassun, then where would I be.

Well i think why should it be only to mods but to everyone here at AO.
But maybe not throphies. I think if someone could post a thread every month
specially mentioning a few people on what they have done right.
Because if we have a whole thing of the month.
It'll put a lot more stress onto Our Admins and stuff.
Plus with newbies and stuff looking at peoples achievements
They might look up and follow their footsteps and stuff.
And not low quality post like I used to

I think Mods and Admin here have other priorities than to organise a Mod of the Month. Higher up on the priority list would be AOTW - Avatar of the Week considering LenMiyata's recent SOTW theme got many new avatars made.
