Well now you've mentioned nothing at all. Spit it out.

The only problem with that is to be a mod means that there are loads of things you do that the regular members never see. None of which have to do with posting and a lot of which takes time away from being able to post or being all that visible on the boards. Just because a mod isn’t creating threads or posting on the normal boards doesn’t mean they aren’t active. Could they be more active on the boards? Maybe, but they have lives off of AO as well and their AO projects may take up all their AO time, do you know how much time it takes going through the gallery and re-tagging images…hundreds even thousands of images? Why? So when you search the gallery you can actually find something! Tis just one example of things most members don't seem but items mods do for AO.

Personally, I try to help out in all areas of AO and I do things like hosting the GFX battles just to have a “face” to the regular members, but there are projects I am working on for AO which really deserve more of my time and much more beneficial in the long run than posts or threads. So yes, I don’t post threads or post in threads as much as someone who is a normal member but that doesn’t mean I am not doing my job as a mod. It is the same for the other mods as well.
That is very true, staff members usually have debates about things on the forum. I do agree that although most members of staff may seem inactive to you but they are around, you just can't see them.

I don't know about other members of staff but I do find it hard to post a good quality thread that most people would be able to comment on. I feel the pressure sometimes that being a mod means I should be able to make them but its difficult.
FAVOURITE THREADS EXPLAIN why, or risk an infraction.

i agree with you on that but when you go to any forum and look near the bottom of the page you see 6 or 7 mods for that forum and 90% of the time
there not online or invisable its been weeks for one on the poem forum , anyway my point is an ocassional post or maybe a sign of life from any of the mods that are rarly seen would be nice to show there still around AO making sure the threads stay clean of junk post's and spam.

Yeah let it all out. It seems you have a lot of discontent, so it would be great to here them all. I mean, most have already stepped up and speak their mind. Your post literally contributed nothing but sarcasm. Now is the time.

Had to laugh at your comment Hassun. I was waiting to see a long list from Descended, but instead was sent around in circles. Hahaha.

Really true DB. I dont see the poiunt of making the complains vague, as expected several have expressed their discomfort openly, so why limit yourself to post chriptic messages.

If we didnt want to know how do you feel about the staff, this thread wouldnt have been created...

    Re: Moderator Feedback Thread

In the almost three years that I've been here, Ive never felt that a moderator has treated me unfairly. I think any complaint is just a testament to how much the mods actually care about their responsibillity. The only thing I've ever had an issue with, is the fact that people are always falling victim to posting in dead threads, and get scolded for it. While I understand that it's up to the user not to do that, threads like those should really be done away with as a precuationary measure. Maybe there need to be more mods, or maybe the mods should be more attentive. There's alway someone out there with a grossly oversized sig, or spouting profanity somewhere, and I find myself thinking "where are the mods". I like you guys, even admire you, but sometimes I just wish things could be dealt with in a more timely matter around here. If only it were within my power.

We have this handy little "Report" button located right under where it says you are online, for which you could use to report any instance of rule breaking you happen to find on the site. It allows us Mods to find and destroy things much faster. So you do have power in that sense
