New Admins;New Skin...(Hehe...)

Umm ok please don't hurt me based on this issue, buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt...

Gray skin on Ao 24/7 EVERY SINGLE DAY...seems boring..

Can't we have a skin selector for the member that DO like the skin can just keep it?

I suggest a light skin like a idk..

LIGHT BLUE SKIN!!!

I know we changed the gray thingamabobs but yeah...

Gray is boring but good for the eye when reading a lot of stuff ...
BUT still i think a change is really needed ,as i who hasn't even completed my first year here i couldn't help but feel bored of this color after only this short amount of time ...
so in the end ... Agreed.

We've been thinking about a new design, but its been put on the back burner.

Makeing a new skin takes a long time, and more often costs money. So unless you want to make one, don't expect one any time soon.

This is a vBulletin forum correct? Cause if it is I could code you a new skin if you want, it only depends on how hard vB skinning is I've heard its quite nasty compared to IPB.

yeah a change in colour could be good for a while, although i doubt it would happen it would be good for a while

I know i asked around about this a few times.Hope something does come out of this becuase this skin is getting kinda old.Plus a new skin thats a little more um lighter ? might bring a few new people in...Its a possibility.

Yeah.. Grey has gotten 'ancient' in my point of view as well but I have to agree with LichGriffin, It does make it easy to read.

I think I'd like to see a bit of a change on the skin but in the same time I'd prefer this old skin. >.<

Ok, I don't think you guys quite get it.

Skins, good quality skins, for vB boards cost money. So unless you guys want to shell out the cash yourself, or if you want to make them yourself, then its not going to happen any time soon.

Thats just the way it is.

I personally like the Grey skin. Its been AO's skin in one form or an other for the last 5 to 6 years.

Yes good idea and i agree with it fully but with only one little issue, many members here like to have colour in there texts, if a member changes there skin to a colour like the writing is, you wont be able to read that post, also how hard will it be for admins to do this...But sure i would like a new background on AO but may i ask if this does go out is there away to make the change stay when you next sign in on AO or will you have to change it everytime you sign on?

Once we have a skin designed, its actually quite easy, we simply install the skin to the theme directory for the forum, and change the style in the Admin Control Panel.

well thats great! but how many colours will you be able to install? also will the style stay each and everytime you sign on AO or will you have to keep changing the colour from grey? thanks a bunch
