Thread: New Section to AO

it has been talked about before infact it was tried
in 2006 when i first joined and it took away from
the poems , debate and discuss and the anime section.

we had clan that were supposedto help as well
and it did work for a while then it went down hill
then it was gotten rid of because of lackof intrest.

junk posting prettymuch got squished last year with the
no junk posting rule i think if it was brung back though the other sections
would go down like they did in 2006,.

I see, I apologize. I was not around at that time. In fact I came as the clans were announced to close. Still am not quite sure the purpose of them, but understanding more little by little.

no problem and the clans were a good thing but
because of inatrivity they were closed alot of
people wished they would have stayd but the reason'was understandable.

but this is just one point of view but thats the reason i see
for the new section for not being made but ike i siad its not up tome to say
either way but it wouldnt be a good idea at this time.

A section dedicated to spamming would take away from the other areas of the forum; as Holder mentioned it has happened in the past and will undoubtedly happen again. When I joined this site in mid-2006, I popped in a couple of times and didn't post much for about three months, nearly every thread was pages on pages of a couple of people having side conversations and nearly nothing to do with the original thread topic. It was really frustrating to see a great thread started and not be able to participate because the topic had been completely lost.

I don't think making a decent thread is that difficult, almost anything is allowable if it's within the rules and can prompt discussion and good responses. Why don't we leave this open a bit and see why it is that some members are having trouble starting good threads?

i likr that idea and i can start by saying becausein the middle
of a good thread you have somone saying powwww in big words
that have noithing to do with the topic ,or someone talking about
things in a list formation which has everyone else doing it.

then the topic gos way off when they stop discussing the
thread and lsiting things on why the thread topic is cool,bad or
what ever never going back to talking about the topic and bring
a really good discusion about it. but this is just one thing i see
