I think we should definitely stick with from the top to the bottom of the page (duh), but in terms of left-right or right-left panels we should let the each participant decide. That way it allows more room for creativity, as long as they clarify when they submit the entry.

Its a great idea. I had the funnest time making mine. I think other will love participating too.

Then what's the point of the whole thing if you can't tell us if it had been approved or notYou know I can't leak info.
