So.. as a byproduct of really needing to pee and drinking waay to much tonight I came with perhaps my most brilliant thought of the last 30 minutes.

AO should have a shoutbox, or should fix the watch&discuss thing. The whole world isn't located in America yknow. Being a Canadian apparently has one drawback, and that is it.

Should AO upgrade into the 22nd century and open live discussion to more than just slackjawed Americanos?

Been there, done that... That has been implemented several times in the past, and none of those times it worked. I lost count on 8 times implemented...

Correct, but Hulu is the one providing the Anime, and the No outside-the-US is one of their rules not AO, so complaint to them not us...

I raised the issue about Hulu with the staff (Most of the staff are not American's either) the day it was brought online, and Hulu is one of the only online sources that can Legitimately stream licensed anime, so we're SOL on that

Last time we had a Shoutbox or Chat room, activity on the forum dropped LIKE A ROCK, and it caused way too much drama to take care off, so we axed it. Won't be coming back, not any time soon anyways.

hmmm y not just make a list of anime sites that show anime and se if thay show them legal?and if so sign up with them..... lol if that will work lol dont really know what im talking about

You know it sort of is your fault. You were they one that just had to be Canadian didn't you and now the whole entire order of peace is shattered, jk but joking set aside as much as I love anime if the people who produce it get no profit then they cannot make more so you should undertand the staffs unwillingness to create such a haven.

Its not that we are unwilling to make such a haven, We don't do it because its ILLEGAL to do it. AO's servers are located in the US, and is subject to US law.

No point in discussing this further, Huluu isn't going to change until another site like it comes along that can Legally stream anime outside of the US, and a chat/shout box won't be coming anytime soon.
