Thread: SOTW done for?

The SOTW originally finished up for a bit because there was a lack of interest in it. I was lucky to get some entries even when we changed it to a fortnightly competition.

However, if there is interest stirring up in the community again, I may consider starting it up. Maybe even a christmas competition to get things going again?

If people are interested, please do post. I'd like to get a rough idea as to who and how many people are interested. My main concern is getting regular competitors. I understand that people can't compete every week, it would be nice to know that there are a bunch of people who can enter some what regularly so we always have competitions and constant feedback on work.

Feel free to share ideas and thoughts! I'm really keen to get things started again!

Well, if nobody else wants to enter, I guess I could just be the weekly winner, LOL. *joking*

I hope that interest in SOTW does grow. It's been a while since I've entered myself but, I aim to enter weekly/bi-weekly if things pick up here on AO.

If SOTW were to be removed... that would suck.
One of the main reasons I came back was because of the SOTW. Of all the sites I've visited, this site's SOTW themes are the most interesting (at least, during my time). I remember that we had a theme once about making a sig out of an IRL photo of yourself. That was pretty genius.
It would be pretty awesome of the SOTW would start running again.

wat does SOTW stand for? wat kind of contest is sotw?

SOTW = Signature of the Week.
Contestants make "signatures" (basically, just graphics of a certain size) and people would vote for their favorite.
