Do i need to join clan for becoming veteran or is it automatic?

Neither... Like the 'Elite' member group, 'Veterans' requires 1,000 real posts, plus the approval of one of the site Admins... 'Veterans' membership is also separate (and different) from the 'Veterans' Clan...

So, 1,000 posts and a 2004 join date make you elligible. In the end, as Len includes, you'll need an admin approval to get in.
