Videos in you profile

Is there a way you can put a video on your profile or other page? can you even?

you should be able to input the code from a place like youtube directly into a block.

It's called embedding, you can see an example for it on my own profile page.

Yeah, I was wondering, can that only be done on the profiles, or is there a way for us to embed videos in posts or whatnot?

Probably dumb and I know I should know better, but eh. I looked and couldn't find anything about it not being allowed...plus other sites do it. <--Let's hear what I get back for that one, lol.

It's possible to embed YouTube videos in posts if I set it up in the system. Currently it is not allowed due to the settings. I'm not sure if allowing this feature would be a good idea or not.

Just copy the Youtube code from teh site and paste in your meida block it should work.

Well maybe in a special forum. If we allow it all over the board, will be spammed to death with crap.

I don't really see a need to make this feature available at this stage unless someone can give me a good reason.

Hmm, maybe allow it in the clans as a treat... we could actually show amvs instead of just posting links or something. I do see how it would be a spamfest on the regular area, so you don't have to allow it. It's all good.

If enabled, then it would be site wide. No way to restrict it to certain forums only.
