I'm so happy!!! after sending hours on this I finally got the hang of making sigs and graphic design!!! It was really hard though.....-.-

But I'm glad I at least made one. Before I had such a hard time cause i couldn't do any of that fancy stuff and what not. Now, though I have my own computer so I can get gimp and other things to help me!!!

It looks pretty cool. I like the lighting effect on the background. Although, the redish pinkish colour is a bit too much, but an awesome sig nonetheless. Good job Renn.

not bad for a first siggy!

some tips, border is probably a bit too thick (in my opinion anyway) I feel like having a thick border like that takes away from the main image, though there are some really good thick borders out there that works well, matter of trial and error really and seeing what works well with the images you have.

I personally love this border tut by Chief

also have you had a try at blending? Making the main pic (or render) blend in with the background can make the overall sig seem smoother. Try smudging or blending layers - look at Zyta or Pryo blending in their sigs (just to name two of the many gfx artist who have mastered smudging on AO lol)

^__^ Thanks ketaro and gwen!! It helps alot when I get advice. I've want to do this since I joined AO!!!

I have another one I did but it isn't a sig(there are a few things I don't know 1)rendering 2) making big pics smaller for sig size) It here on AO I feel I did the best on this than on any of my works so far....

rendering is a matter of practice makes perfect really lol

What program are you using? Just google how to render in (program) and heaps of tutorials should come up, so many different ways of doing it. I use the Polygon Lasso tool in photoshop, some times the pen tool


as for making big pics smaller. Some times I just scale the image (image > image size) then copy and paste it over, or I paste it on the sig first that scale it to the size I want (if you hold shift while you scale down it won't get all distorted - in photoshop anyway)

lolz thanks gwen. I am using Gimp at the moment, since I find that it's a very good, free(it has to be!!) program. I try and still gon't get it about rendering(-.- I hate it....) I just end up making it look weird. Overall, I think I could do better at wallpapers, but I want to make sigs(which I am so am trying to do). I admire all of u who have such great skill at this sig-making and whatnot. I'm also glad some people help me ans stuff. ^__^
