Thread: Alex Lambert's performance last week on American Idol

My two biggest problems with Idol, is of course the obligatory Simon Cowel, the guy is an ass to the point where its not needed.

The second is the complete lack of representation from my favorite Genres. Pop music is big, I'll admit that, but to cut out rock and metal (which combined far out number pop music).

There was one contestant from a couple years ago who was a rock singer and came close to getting into the semi finals (I think), but was voted off.

Some of their recent folks have been rock stars. David Cook and Daughtry were both that type. This Alex Lambert kid in the above linked video is more of a soft rock potential guy IMO.

I have been more impressed with these last seasons. I am a rock fan and it is good to see rock is getting big back in the united states. As good as Lambert is rock hasn't won and will not win. That is what I think anyhow.
