Anime Club Ideas for school I conducted a search and found nothing involving anime clubs in schools.
Well, ta-da! I created this thread just for that. Feel free to discuss ideas, tactics, structure, etc.
At my school, I'm the President of the Anime Club and I'm in need of some serious help here. I have maybe seven people attending the club. They won't contribute much and have a mindset along the lines of "you should entertain us."
My thoughts were creating guilds inside the club such as:
-Card Players' Championship
-Manga Corner (reading and trading)
-Artists', Designers', and Storyboarders' Guild
-Game Room
-Language School (to learn Japanese)
-Theatre (for movies)
In each of these guilds I thought of holding contests and ranking systems.
Everyone would go up on the scoreboard and the winner(s) would get prizes; particularly good ones.
Anyway, what are your thoughts and opinions?

everyone comes to swap their old anime and manga for new ones, everyone gets new anime and manga and ones that you have seen/read a thousand times are not cluttering up your space.
try to get more people in your school addicted to anime. (wow that makes it sound like a narcotic)
yes those could work. im in the schools gay-strait alliance and were having the same problem.

well i am the president at my school of the anime cluband we put in some money and we have video game tornaments and kareoke at our school and some times Magic tornamets but it is a really small culb
I was just thinking about doing that at my school and now i can because you were able to and so can i, and i think that the prize deal is the way to go.

When I was in skool we had one...but it was a 2 hour class in skool. Between 11am-1pm i had a anime/manga/gameing class

Is that a college course? A high school course? Where is it available? etc.
