Thread: Anime References in Day to Day Life

Have I heard stuff like "I will be the world's Goku" and all the nerdish stuff? Yes. It's funny instead, to see them acting like an anime charcter, no matter how good or badly the match... it's just funny. And damn annoying.

That's true!!! anime should stay on the TV, computer or wherever one watch it.... I cracked in laugh when one of my friends told me: "There goes my Inuyasha"
I was like: What the Heck?!?!?! (she was refering to her friend that everyone knew they liked each other....)

i agree... i don't think i have wittnessed anything that bad... i've been with some pretty lame otakus... but i'm not sure if i EVER heard something that bad..

Well here are some examples of how bad this can get.
"I am your Gohan, the Goku of our family and the frieza of coolness".
" I am your Kenshin sweetheart"
" I am the Stampede, VASH OFF"!

See? Pathetic.

Now you'll laugh about me... You really should... I do... I watch all kinds of animes and cartoons with my sister and my cousin, and as we do that, we deal roles- each of us takes one guy in the movie that he will be (I was Leonardo in the TNT, I was Blossom in Power Puff Girls, Marek in Yu-Gi-Oh and so on, most recent was Sefiros in FFVII , and it's not that far in the past)... It's realy stupid I know... but sometimes it can make the movie more interesting... And yeah... sometimes we call each other in those names, but really rarely and always as a joke. So yeah...
