Annoying Nag

Okay, I have a question for you guys.

What do you do if you get an annoying nag at the back of your mind that you need to do something or do something for someone?
Do you stop thinking about it because you know you don't need to do what the nag is telling you to do?
Or do you do what the nag is telling you to do?

Some of my friends have been asking about this. Some say it's just themselves thinking that they need to do something when really they don't. And others say that it's inspired and whatever that nag is telling you do to, you need to do because it's a possibility that you really need to do that something that the nag is telling you to do.

Anyway, I was just wondering what you all thought. So what do you think?

I think... it depends. Is it something that would harm you? or is it something that would help you? you just gotta think about it that way. it's always good to think things through. in this case, if it hurts you or someone else, you shouldn't do whatever it is. and vise sersa.

No, It's not something that would hurt you. This was a discussion between friends at school. Some got into the religion side of it and others just got angry.

This discussion started through one of my friends. She said she was having this odd feeling or nag that she needed to contact one of her older friends. She said it was annoying because she knew he was alright.
Some of the other friends was saying that she needed to contact him because it was inspired. And others were saying she was just out to get attention.

Well it really depends... if it is just a prank then... I'll definetelly go for it, but if it is something that will just hurt someone in any way then I have, I must get rid of that thought... specially if it is a thought out of revenge...
I have always thought that anything that you do bad to someone it will turn to you three times worst...

well, if it was me having that feeling, I would try to contact him. something could be wrong under the surface, you know? like, I was suicidal for years, and nobody knew. I acted fine around everyone, but the truth is... I was hurting in a way I cant describe. now, it's prolly not like that in your situation. but it could be anything. you never know. he could be having home problems, school problems etc... tell your friend to contact him and tell your friend not to stop until the feeling goes away.

"Talk with the Housing lady the Admissions Lady gave you"
"Don't be late"

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH, it's annoying. Usually I just ignore it until the point the nagging just goes on and on and on and on to the point I snap, and do it. However if I get:

"Revenge"
"Lol, do a viciously cruel prank, make your girlfriend think you're gay or pretend to break up with her"
You know, those funny mean things. Usually I do that without hesitation.

I try to ignore it until it drives me nuts and then I just do whatever it's telling me i should do.. so it will shut up..
