I am a mom, I have two daughters one is 7 and the other is 5 my oldest was an whoopsie when I was 18, but the greatest opps ever. My oldest is into anime and manga, its cute.

Me as a parent. no way no how, can't imagine myself as a parent. I already have to take care of three kids under 6 belonging to 2 different brothers, one have 1 and the last one a different brother with my mom and other member of the family so heck no

Am a mom of a 6 year old boy and yes he inherited my like and taste for anime and manga. its fun and it serves as part of our bonding time.

HEY ! There's old people on the forum! And here I thought LenMiyata was the only one !

I guess I'm a parent to both my younger siblings and any of my friends. I'm the "motherly" figure, I guess you could say. I make sure they don't get into trouble, even though I have them look after me sometimes.. :/

Yeh, I just don't let anything bad happen, and I make sure they have no bad influences surrounding them. I love my little brother and sister, and I like taking care of them

Hey! I resemble that remark! Growing old is mandatory-Growing up is optional. I chose my option. and raised my kids. you can do both.

I wasn't going to post on this thread since I am not an actual parent, but much respect to all the parents & people raising kids/taking care of them *clapping hands & a standing ovation*... That is actually like a 24/7 job that you aren't getting paid for, but I guess the return in love; money couldn't even compare...

Well the reason I am posting here is because I look after my niece & nephews on a daily basis. A (1yr), (6yr), (10yr), & (13yr) < all of them are spoiled rotten> that it makes my tooth hurts lol' ^_^ , but I love each one of them to death... It scares me sometimes cause I see potential in them all, but no drive or initiative & when I try to push they pull <as to be expected they are kids huh..?> I guess I need to make a thread on what I actually want to say, but I just posted here cause I too change diapers, feed/cook, bathe, & all in all look out for the well being of children...

Actually it looks like you're learning a lesson some parents NEVER learn... and that is that good ol' saying... "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink."... I'm 25, have 2 children of my own.. and I am JUST NOW learning to "drink".... People have been leading me to the damn "water" for years! Kids have to grow up in their own time.

I guess you are right... It is just that I see them making some of the mistakes I've made & I know what is down that path or what is in store for them. I guess that is what also scares me. I see the oldest one trying to fit in & imitates anything/everything he sees on t.v. The ten year old is the only girl, but she stays in the house 24/7 doesn't even try to make friends or associate <but she thinks she is grown> lol ^_^ I can go on but, I know this isn't the thread for all this I just wanted to reply to you & say I understand what you're saying & that I just now started to drink also... lol ^_^

I got my little sister and my nephew, I look after them all the time and now it comes to the point that everytime me and my friends always take my nephew with us I always get the same question thrown at me. " Are you this (cute little remark) parents? " after awhile you just stop carrying which answer you say. It's pretty good but at the same time it's not all what it's cracked up to be, plus it makes me feel alittle old.

Well, I said this earlier... I should've added pet owners to the list. Taking care of animals is a rather signifigant form of parenting in my opinion.
