Do you believe that astrology or divination is the real thing? Personally, I practice it as a mere interest. I won't shoot down anything right away, since I'm quite interested in my own astrology (I even have a tattoo of my zodiac on my shoulder). Let us know what your opinions are on astrology or divination. Do you have any experiences with astrology/divination that you'd like to share??

I had tarot cards determine that my ex would leave me. It couldve been just a coincidence but it was an uncanny one at that.

Can't say that I really believe in astrology or divination. I do think that we might be able to 'sense' events (like an instinctual thing), but as for events being pre-determined or controlled by other sources, no...can't say I believe that.

If astrology was correct, then everyone would be the exact same, and all life-events would be controlled. Obviously, that's not what is happening as everyone has seperate events happen to them. Astrological readings implant ideas into a person's mind, and if someone believes that astrology is correct, then they set themselves up to believe the events will happen. It becomes a thing of 'mind over matter.' No matter what, if you believe it, it's there....people will see what they want to see. But astrological readings are very broad, such as "relations with family and friends will be stressful," or something.....no matter what, it's going to hit someone, because we all have that happen, it's just a matter of someone believing the events happen due to astrology.

However, in terms of attributes due to astrological sign (like personality), I will admit that most people I know do seem to fit their sign.

It's the same for divination...the readings are so broad that they can be applied to different contexts, so that chances are it will hit something. Like with your ex leaving you, in a relationship it's a 50/50 chance, so if a card is pulled about relationships, it has a 50/50 chance of being right. If you believe in tarot cards, then the cards are in effect right because you believe so.


Now, I don't believe in the law of attractions, (if you think about something and want something enough, it'll come to you) because by that effect I could sit around and wish for whatever. BUT, as with both divination and astrology, it's simply the power of the mind in seeing what it wants to. If a reading says you'll have a great day, and you absolutely believe it to be true, then you WILL have a good day, because you see it that way.

I think both astrology and divination rely on the mind to see whatever it wants, thus creating whatever reality it wants.

But, I do have an open-mind for most things, so just so you don't think I'm 100% against, I do think that people can sense certain things like along the lines of premonitions....but to what degree I'm not really sure.

I do sometimes believe in Astrology. Sometimes I would read my horoscope. It's just a habit of mine.

I did once upon a time own some tarot cards that many people wanted me to read their past, present and future. I can honestly say that most of things that I said or have explained to them have been true. I made one of my friends cry due to something I brought up in her past.

But recenetly my cards have disappeared into thin air in my opinion. I never saw them again after spending £30 on tarot cards.

I would like to buy another pack and re-start reading people's tarots.

I just read my horoscope for fun. I don't tend to make it a habit but it's just interesting to see what the time has in stock for you ^_^ I do believe in heavenly bodies affecting lives of people on Earth, don't ask me why :S

Diviniation. I don't believe in it. Because if the supernatural forces tell us what is going to happen it won't be always true, anything might happen. ANYTHING! lol ^_^

And also it's fun when people read my hand and tell me stuff. It's interesting. But in the end I do believe we make our own choices and future

I will admit I have an interest in astrology. And maybe in divination as well. But I don't really believe in all that divination stuff. I mean, the bible - and that's it. Many of the prophecies came true that were in it. But as far as others telling you the future of the world... I believe some of that capability. Others just try and take advantage of naive people so they say they can "see into the future". But as far as astrology goes, I think I'm pretty much into that stuff. My astrology sign describes my mere personality and habits. And that's freaky. But true o___o

I'm pretty much a believer. I think it takes a very skilled, spiritually in tuned person to appropriatly tune in to the devine. Or to feel and understand the balance of certain energy; Based on the alignment of certain stars, planets or moons.

I don't believe that our astrological signs determine our nature or who we are most compatible with. I also don't believe in horoscopes, but I still believe that tarot cards are at least 80% accurate- on of my predictions was that I would be in the arms of a woman I despise (I'm a girl, by the way), and it was true- my mother. Seriously.
Erm...honestly I don't really believe in Divination that much...Harry Potter, anyone? Jusy kidding. I don't think Divination is silly or foolish. I just don't follow it.

I don't believe on either of those... First 'cos I don't believe that any human can predict the future.
Second: I really don't care much about knowing what is going to happen... I like today and I build up my future... even though I don't know what is going to work and what is not going to work.... I am willing to take the risk.....
Third and the most heaviest for me: God extrictly forbids any kind of adivination and witchcraft.

Dood, I use to be mad into astrology, and some of the stuff I found out about my signs was kind of true. Like, I'm a Cancer, but that's only my sun sign, it's who I'll grow into. My ascendant is Taurus, that's how I see the world and how it sees me, then there's my moon sign, it's also Cancer. The moon sign represents your most basic needs... I read about them and wouldn't you know it, lots of the stuff it true. Moon-Cancers like soft thing that are comfy... I've got three blankets and five pillows on my bed.. coincidence?

But... then all the books started repeating themselves and they got boring to read, so now I just flip through them every once in a while... it's absurdly funny reading those silly magazine horoscopes.

But anyway, I believe in astrology but not divination, although my mind is open to change.

I really don't think that you can tell how someone acts just by looking at what 'sign' they have, it really seems a bit unscientific. I don't see how someone can just know what's going to happen to you without a good proof of how they know, and I don't feel horoscopes are one of those good reasons.
