I prefer pens since handwriting calligraphy is an art form and can be used to read personality. They are easy to have around and not as clumsy as electronic signatures when shopping. I like them in banks where tellers actually know that penmanship matters so people can't forge your signature. Plus they can have engravings done on them and come in all colors. They are cheap and feels easy in the hand.

Depends on how far in the future we are talking. Ball point pens will be around for a long while, however nothing lasts forever and everything changes in time. Just look at the old times where they had a feather they dipped in ink, and now we have more convenient pens, and in the future we will have something even more convenient.

Hmm, good point. Maybe about 50 years or so? But what kind of ball pen will the future have? In your opinion?

I think they'll still be around for awhile. While yes, we use a lot of technology today, it's still easier when you're out or just need to scribble something to use a pen.

I'm totally in love. Sadis + yinyangAio1 forever. <3 (Yes, we're together irl. We're engaged.) Also, if you liked/dated him, please stay off my page.

maybe they will invent a pen that never runs out of ink, or never gets lost. maybe it can be connected to your bag or something of the sort. Does anyone else agree that the biggest problem with pen and pencils is that they are so small they always get lost?

Yes, they will be needed to write checks, deposit slips, sign important documents, etc.
