Thread: or being forgotten

It dosn't matter. We are all going to die so we might as well face it, on the other hand I could care less if i'm forgotten, i'm sure it will happen eventually. When you die you will be forgotten, sure your children will visit your grave to lay flowers, and maybe even if your lucky their children, but much after that and no one will know who you were.

My advice: Publish a Book.
Then your legacy will live on forever, unless someone burns every single copy ever made...

my thoughts exactly. what's the point in living if no one has known of your existence? and besides, all the time you've spent developing close relationships... they all go to waste. i'd probably choose to end my life if everyone just forgot about my existence.

thats a interesting concept really, it all boils down to what you do with your life.,
like a academic quote i herd. "in life you either write a good book people will remember or you do something good that people will write about"

i love that quote., i personally would love to be remembered., but for what is the main question. great musician or great artist? there the same so i want to be remembered as a great artist i guess

i fear both yet i fear being forgoten more

the thing i fear the most is not being forgoten but how ppl would remember me. would ppl remember me as a moron, incapable of doin anythign right, or as a genius.
would they think i was a caring person, or a selfish selfcentered person.
i fear people remembering me as a monster (like hitler) than being completely forgoten.

as for death, i don't fear it. its apart of life and its goin to happen one day or another. so live everyday like its ur last, well thats wat i like to do anyway.

i fear both but to be forgotten is the same as dieing and dieing often ends up leading to forgetfulness. but to be remembered and spoke of in the past tense ("ed") thats worse then both.
