Ummm >.< Oh geesh!!!!!!!!! That is just a terrible thing to do... Sorry... but it is... I would feel so damn sad... you could have called her or not deicded on the date at that time in the first place, if it was so important. Or you could record it or look for it on internet later...

I mean if your girl is less important to you than an anime, then... you do not really love her! Of course she's mad. How would you like if she'd rather stay at home and paint her nails, leaving you waiting in cold and rain, because her looks are more important to her?

I mean I understand that you love anime a lot, but your girl should be more important to you. A girl who is not is not really the real one for you...

Well I know that my bf likes anime a lot too, but it'll be like his "second wife" so I'm ok with it. And my ex loved the bottle more than me... that's even worse...
I always love my bf more than anything, more than parents, more than religion, I bet I'll still love him more than anything even when I have children!!! And it's really wonderful I must say. Well I do sometimes pay less attention to him, but I try to make it so that I just have some free time from him when I can do stuff or warn him that I am busy with it, so that everyone would be happy

You should really love your girls/boys the most, because they can give you something back and they are the ones who really need it and really appriciate it.

Gosh! I would be crushed! If my boyfriend didnt show up to our date because he was more interested in anime than me, then I wouldnt have gone out with him if I knew that, Well basically I would think that you should choose which one you love more, because you'll be stuck eathier way!

But then again see if you can make time for both your girlfriend and anime! It works all the same! Well, this is just tragic, this stuff means a lot to a realation ship!

Well here's an idea. Next time if something like that happens why don't you invite her over to watch the anime with you? It would kill two birds with one stone. As for what you did, yes it is wrong and was you fault. You could of just cancelled on her instead of standing her up.

Ouch, if I was in the same posistion I would have probably just taped the show. I would hate to have my gf mad because I chose TV over her. It would be pretty cool if you could somehow make watching anime together a date like fireandice suggested. That seems like the perfect idea to me.

Assuming that you didn't let your girlfriend know that you weren't going to meet her, sorry, but I think it's your fault.

Put yourself in her position. Though I don't know and probably will never know what it's like to be someone's girlfriend, I can still imagine how and why she's upset.

If she knows you were doing something else "more fun" than being with her, there's a chance she'll get very angry at you... Another thing that can also happen is that she'll start feeling insecure about herself. "What am I to him? Aren't I his girlfriend? Doesn't he love me anymore?" Things like that.

Either way, if I were you, I'd apologize to her as soon as possible and take her to somewhere nice.

buuurrnn.. that would be ur fault. Watching your favorite anime series over gf? yes she has every right to be angry,, heck i would prolly break up if my bf/gf did that. All it's showing is that anime a Tv show is more important than me and therefore the guy/girl would be a waste of my time. yeah don't do that again.... it reminds me of that show/manga Genshiken when they do it and she suspects he was watching TV when they did it... =.= just don't do stuff like that!
