Children...

Well most of us will be married and all soon...

when when you get married and bang each other like rabbits and animals..
*is singing along to Discovery Channel by Bloodhound Gang*
The small family of your's will increase.. that is.. you get children... or childrens

So... *clears throat* How would you raise them...?

- Would you follow the ways of how your parents raise you? or you have your own ways?
- How protective would you be?
- Do you think that caning or beating you're child is a good way to dicipline them?

(well this is famous among Asians)
- What do you do to dicipline them?
- If you only have one child.. would you be.. well you know...treat him/her like a princess/prince?

- Do you think it's essential for you to have kids.. or you think life is better without them...

well anything regarding to this topic is acceptable and please answer most of the question stated... i wanna know your opinions ^^

OMG! Are you gonna get married??? XDD LOL Why am I thinking of having kids when I'm only 13? *shrugs*

-I would raise them properly, of course.
-I would raise them with my own ways and not with how my parents raised me.
-Protective? Normal protective, if I raise them over protective they would hate me.
-Nope. Beating a child is awful. And some asians do not beat their kids.
-Taking away what's precious to them. Grounding them. You know, the usual stuffs. And teach them what the bible says.
- Nope. That's pampering. I wouldn't want a spoiled brat now do I?
-Sometimes, having kids is okay. Some no. They can be pain in the ass.

Wow... Hearing from a 13-year old girl about how they would raise their children is something you don't see everyday. 0.0

Well basically, I don't(really) like kids... They're so annoying, and hard headed creatures...errrr..they're used to make my head explode.... Ohh well..

For my own child(ren):

- I have my own rules and way of how my children will be raised.. Of course, we must have that own way for our children to know that we are different form other parents.
- Not that protective, I think. Just like the saying ses "the more you stop an eager heart the more it insist." Children nowadays are more curious, if you dare to stop them or somewhat put a chain on them the more they want to do a thing that you forbids them.
- As for me, I am an Asian too. But, beating is a sign of love for parents. Because it only shows that parents who used to beat their children means they discipline them to be a better person.
- Just what I sed earlier, beating is one but, I dont say that everytime a child commits mistake you should beat him/her. Beating is only used to give them the idea that they must take that as a lesson for them not to do that same mistake again.
- Well, not actually treating him/her as a prince/princess. Its that Ill give more time to him/her knowing the fact that shes/hes my only child. Family Ties are the one Im pointing to.
- Of course its essential for us to have kids... *sigh* what would life be without them...

I guess thats it.. *sigh*.. Hope you learn from my posts(ehH? Im sounding more like my dad!?)...hehehe

ok u are asking how we would raise our children.............. well for me

i would like do what my mum and dad do the odd time to get to me revise....

they tell me they will get me somthing if i pass and right enof they do and im trated like an adult when i act it ....

but for kids they can get things but only if they disreve them i will NOT spoil my kids ( even though it would be hard not to...)

and when they are youger i want them to be able to read and wright... ect when they are since i coundnt and still brarly can i want my kids to have th best fouter ^^

so im guessing im kinda gonna be like my mum and dad yet im putting my own tecnes into it ^__^

i myself nursed all my little siblings... and i did half the job a parent should do... and i even did the baby's diaper and feeding.. -.- troublesome i tell you.. i wonder how parent's can withstand it..

I just started my freshman year in college and the subject on kids is going to be the last thing on my mind..........
And i know how this is going to sounds........but I actually never want to have kids or even a family......
Just the thought of settling down with someone and starting a family gives me the chills and i am a hundred percent sure that THAT life is not for me

Hmm, well I am willing to have any number of girls just to have one boy.
I need raise a son to carry on my name. If my brothers do not get married (both are much older than me, about 35 and not married) I will have no one to carry out my name.

I would raise my kids as my parents do now.
They keep me on a pretty loose leash and let me do about what I want to. They tell me what is good and bad and keep me in check. I mean I do not know if this is the way to raise a child, but I think I turned out fairly well.
I want to raise my kids to learn the ways of the computer, coax them into anime. I am in no way going to force these things on them, but it would be nice to bond with them that way.
I really hope my kids do not come out athletic.....if so I will have a problem lol. I am probably going to spoil them rotten if I have the money to do so. I would never hit a child, so for disciplinary actions I would ground them or something. I was never hit when I was little and I do not wish to harm my kids.

Other than that, just the common stuff most parents do.

sometimes.. it is necessary.. you know.. well when they crossed the boundaries.. it is our duty as parents to control them... that is my opinion though.. but then again.. can't be too hard.. @.@

Actually the idea came to mind reading a book, The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck. It is about a chinese farmer who like you said, always wants more sons, and thinks having a girl is a bad omen. (Of course I do not think that having a girl is bad by no means)
Very good book by the way. Having someone carry my name never came to mind until reading that book, then I realized how important it was for me.

I dont have them but when i do im a guy i only want 2 so one isnt spoiled all the time and they will help each othere and share.

Mhm ^^ its what they believed... a very narrow minded thinking.. they even think girls with small butts produce lesser children... and womens are treated like slaves in the old times... :/ guy's marry a lot.. and when the womans cannot produce them child.. they blame the girls when it is actually the guy's fault..

well yes when they are young..i'll embed in their mind when they are still young that there are certain things you cannot do when you are still young.. and be more open minded as they get more mature... ^^ but i wont watch with em xD that'll be weird..
