Concept of Time in England
Actually it is the title of my study assignment, I'm just hoping anybody that could give help.
Rather than talking about manga, anime and games, could anyone give me some idea regarding time concept in England and the cultures regarding it.
If possible, you could talk in the sense of academics or giving examples in doing business, social activities or even traditions too.
Re: Concept of Time in England
I don't know much about England... but I am a graphic student and we learnt a bit of the Victorian era graphics...
They call it the Victorian era because of Queen Victoria's massive influence to the society at the time. She was strict when it comes to religion and well wants everyone to follow what has been taught in the religion, be it dressing ethics, manners, and even this must be followed in designs... especially for women.
Designs at that time were very much of floral ornamentals on almost all designs and they were usually used to frame their art. Its visible on paintings, posters, pottery, woodcrafts and yes basically anything that needs a design on lol.
People during this time mostly are very poor and lives in a very bad state, so bad that kids were among the workforce in many factories, mines and so on. Just how you would picture Oliver twist's life. So it was this time that photography came to light after lithography and the kind of photos were taken are of children who have to work and live in a poor state as we can see here ^^ taking photos of children were all the rage at this time :p
Well :hattip: cya~ Hope this helped ^^ a bit... I do know more on this era.. but only in terms of designs... xD and kinda busy with my assignments >.<" well i'll update more later...
