Okay, so I'm sure that we've all seen a crackhead/drug addict before. I personally put crackheads in to thier own lil' "race" category. I think that when applying for a job, the space that asks what race are you should include crackhead somewhere in there, LOL.

Anyway, I had a crazy run in with a crackhead about an hour ago while I was on break. She walks up to me and starts mumbling to me (she must've been real messed up). I said, "Can I help you?" To which, she simply replies with another question; "Do you smoke crack?" I said, "Naw! HELL NAW!! OMG, are you crazy? Do I look like a fiend?" She said to me--and this is the funny part, "I don't smoke crack either *itches self like a crack-fiend* and I don't drink." (yeah right) "I was just wondering if you could help me out." I was smokin' a cig at the time, so I was beginning to offer one (which I usually don't do in Downtown Minneapolis. One bum sees your generosity, the others try to take advantage.) and she said, all I need is some money. I said, "I'm broke, I gotta go back to work so I can make my own loot." She says, "All I need is twenty dollars!" Pssshhh!!! And you don't smoke crack, huh? I just walked away like, screw this!

I was wondering if any of you has ever had any weird run-ins with crackheads. Where were you? What happened? I could go on and on about my run-ins, LOL. This town's full of 'em!

Dude, sometimes they ask me for cigarretes like if i even smoke. It gest annoying when they ask for money and if you give them money one time they'll come at you asking for more next time they see you.

Well yes I have had run-ins with crackheads and other type of drug users.
I must say that the worst has to be the asking for money, and that they need it for something. Like a month ago I was window shopping in a mall near me with my family*we are a real close family* and this chick came up to me and my brother and asked for money for cab fare. but you could see that she was drunk and that she was stoned, all at the same time.

and the reason she was asking for cab fare is because her boyfriend had left her there after she had a fight with him.*like I really care that you and your boyfriend had a fight*

What's worse than that is when you can CLEARLY see they're trashed as all hell, and they ask you for money so they can "go to rehab". Oh, please! In DT Minneapolis, there are SEVERAL places you can go for rehab and none cost you any money, nor do you need to catch a bus to get there when you're in a part of town that's only this big!! >> |-----| (my crappy measuring unit)

ahh the "race" i hate most.. i tend to stay away as much as possible...

crackhead here are as irritating like atomik_sprout mentioned,... i find them disgusting and i really don't like them :/

But it is sad to see the society not accepting them "healed" crackheads into the society... which caused some to go back in their own pool of sin... :/

That is correct, where do you need money to get better? sure here in S.A it is like that, but in the U.S, aren't the rehab centres run by goverment funding?

True. 'Tis a sad thing when an addict who has recovered or is on the brink of recovery gets shunned by the folks around him. Depression sets in, and one thinks to one's self, "Man, I shoulda just stayed high on crack!" And then they relapse. Makes me sad, kinda. Just a little; not enough to ruin my day or anything, but...

Yeah, most rehab centers are either non-profit or government funded. Well, there's the case of hospitals though. Hospitals have rehab clinics, but you gotta either have medical insurance or an bucket full of cash to go there.

I think any large metropolis has it's little collection of crack-fiends. Back in high school (after school), I was walking back from my locker on the third floor when I hear this horrible commotion on the stairwell. I hurry down and find out that another student (tripping on acid or something that causes hallucinations) had thrown himself down the stairs . . . . Yeah. That's right. Let's just say this child did not return to my school . . .
