Do Numbers Have Meaning?

Do you think numbers have meaning.Your birth date,Your favorite number,Ect.

I do.I think theres some kinda deep riddled meaning to them.

Everything has a meaning.

Everything has a meaning only if you believe believe deeply enough in it to make a meaning.

However, I do believe that numbers do have a meaning. Not everything can all be by accident.

Numbers have as much meaning as we give them. Birthdates? No, no real meaning, besides giving information about your birthdate, but that much is obvious. Numbers in general have meaningful purposes(Computers, relationships, frame of reference, etc), but perhaps it is that I'm thinking of a different definition of meaning.

Also, what's the deal with Phi? That number pops up a lot, it does, in seemingly random places as well.

On a final note, 711 is the greatest number. It's non-existant meaning trumps all other non-existant meanings.

Numbers do have special meaning, but you have to have at least a half-dozen Upper Division Math classes to understand what numbers are special, and why their special!!! You do run into them all the time with advance probability and cryptography work, but they also show up in Physics, Biology, Architecture, and even advance Music studies. They also happen to above the heads of most common people...

Yes, I have to agree with LenMiyata. Numbers do have a meaning. Like, for instance, if you didn't know numbers, how in the world do you expect to know how much money you have? Of course birthdates matter, if you didn't know your birthdate, you would forget how old you were. As for lucky numbers, eh, that's just superstition in my eyes. But, none of us would be here today without numbers...

I say there is a meaning to numbers, just we don't know what the meaning is, could be anything, anything at all. The meaning could be associated to the devil numbers 666, or somthing like that, not sure

Well yes, numbers do have a meaning.
I do numerology (magic of numbers) from time to time. Your birth date can tell really a lot about you, my numbers (there is a heart number, a mind number etc.) were quite precise.

For example, I did a test, which I think was created by Pythagor (yes, the great matematician) and it calculated how many lifes you have had on earth and how many you still have. It said that humans can live on earth 15 times and most of the people whom I calculated to had lived 12 or 13 times already. (if you don't want to believe in it than you just can admire the fact that when you calculate any birthdate in that particular way, there are only 15 numbers you can get in the end)

I would give you a link to a place where you can do numerology readings, but online thingys mostly calculate it in your place and it's not fun at all. And you can't follow how they get to the results and sometimes the calculations can go wrong. You can buy a book or I could post what I have if ppl. are interested :D:
