Thread: does anybody know what came first the chicken or the egg

well if you go by the evolution theory well it would be neither.... the "chicken" would have evolved from lets say "X" now can you really call the family of X a chicken family? or can you say the X family had the "first" chicken in an egg? well these are things we can't tell so it can go eather way... so I say neather chicken or egg.

Egg. Eggs have been around since the first creatures began walking (more swimming) on earth. That gives it a few billion years before the bird even came into existence.

I disagree on the egg being first. the first "animal" was a single celled organism- the amoeba.This makes them the first"chicken" since they would eventually evolve into them. Amoebas don't lay eggs they divide in half when they reproduce. The next step in that evolution was two amoebas that joined together mixed up thier dna then split into four new individuals. still no egg. The egg didn't come around untill complex celled animal needed a way to protect thier offspring from destruction(being eaten) before developing enough to live on it's own(being born).

thats good and all at the same time the chicken didn't come first cuase before there were chickens dinosaurs laid eggs so the egg came first

I had eggs for breakfast and a chicken sandwich for lunch..

So as far as I'm concerned the egg came first by a few hours...

I believe in the big bang theory and all that. So to be technical, what was first was an almagamation of different gasses.

But if you need an answer, the egg came first. Chickens didn't evolve until after the dinosaurs were wiped out by reasons still being sought after.

Therefore, the egg came first due to creatures who reproduced by laying them.

on the theory about the chicken or the egg, naturally it is the egg but u ask "who put it there ?"

My answer is GOD but religiously in the beginning he act put the chicken on earth first, but that is just coming from a church-going-god-loving-asian guy

but of coarse this is just a question about creation and my answer is once again GOD
