Ending a relationship

Face to face is usually the best, and to tell why. I believe that any other method is a coward way out of breaking up.

The preferred method is face to face but there is no "correct" way to end a relationship.

There is going to be pain when the relationship ends. The "correct" way would not have

either party having their feelings hurt. Thats not going to happen.

I agree with most of you who've already said it--face to face is definitely the way to go, unless the dumpee is/was doing you wrong. Never in a public area (I'm not one to create a scene; we're not filming a movie here, LOL) and never by any means of telecommunication. I've seen some pretty bad moves. I've been dumped by phone, IM, someone paged me once only for me to call them back and get dumped (pagers sucked from that point on, LOL), I've seen people recieve letters in the mail from they're missing BF/GF; come to find that they've moved out of town and left them for a job/woman/tree. :laugh:

At least face to face, you can (try to) have a civil conversation, explaining why you feel you gotta do what you're doin'. It's like group therapy or peer mediation that way, LOL. Actually, no... It's not. It sucks either way, no matter which end of the stick you get, but at least you're gettin' some closure.

Face to face its the only way to go never use facebook or any other source to end a relationship unless you are a coward but that still isn't a good reason

Lets see, I've been broken up with in a note, answering machine, in person, in a letter and again in person. I must say I really prefered the in person aspect better. But like pretty much everyone has said, there really is no best way to do it.

umm it is so sad ending a relationship ._. , .. but i say it is the best is ending the relationship face to face because the two of them can explain why they want to put an end for this relationship ... i think this way is the only good way to end a relationship becasue the two of them can see each other and they can understand the feelings in that moment ... =^_^=
