Do you say that those who did not follow fashion is...old fashioned?
Fashion isn't that important to me. I mean, I dress up (I rarely wear denim jeans), but it's not something I think about. I wear nice shirts and trousers because that's how I grew up.

I wish we all dressed up as they did in Elizabethan England, though. It was not as straight-laced as the Victorian era, but still fancy. Men dressed like gentlemen and women as ladies. Definitely better than now.

Perhaps I AM old-fashioned . . . but I like it, so that makes me haute. ( Get it? Hot/haute? Oh, I slay myself.)

    Re: Fashion Icon

Well, I'm not big on the everyday fashion. I do like to look stylish for special things. I like things with a bit of an old time cut/flair to them. Classics, with a bit of flair. I like the English designers best. I tend to watch what people from the British Isles are wearing, so I like the Media icons who favor the same sort of fashion I do. I like the fashion sense of Ian McKellan & Jude Law. They both mix a bit of the old feel with the new. It makes for a great look/style.

However, my Mom had always followed what Elizabeth Taylor wore, because she's obsessed with her. She doesn't see Elizabeth Taylor anymore, but she does love seeing what's new with some celebrities. She likes following what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are wearing. She like their fashion sense. Even when they dress down.

Mostly they enjoy seeing the bad fashion celebrities wear. They live for fashion disasters! They learn more about what NOT to wear from many celebrities.

Umm it is? Can one live withouth fashion and only wear the same clothes..? Yes they can so this proves it is not important unless... you are one of the high ranked or high social status with preserving kind of person... well it is to you..

However, my Mom had always followed what Elizabeth Taylor wore, because she's obsessed with her. Re: Fashion Icon

    Do you follow Fashion icons?

    State who and why..
No, I don't really follow anybody. I typically used to wear whatever my parents and sisters purchase for me. But now that I am not living near them.. I pick my own clothes, which are very simple yet unique. My family does ship clothes for me on occasion though, some of which are hand-made! I love them so much!

    Is fashion important to you?
Not really. I adhere to this motto: Simple living, high thinking. But don't get me wrong, I don't walk around wearing saffron-colored robes begging for alms and leading an austere life. I do manage a sense of style.

Whats the nicest fashion era to you...and why?
The old times vs now.. which is better? ^^
Every era that didn't support skimpy clothings is/was neat. I principally believe that traditional clothings are the best there ever is, no matter what culture they come from.

Do you say that those who did not follow fashion is...old fashioned?
No, I would like to believe that those who do not follow contemporary fashion are the future trend-setters (like myself, for example).

May I ask you a question?? As someone who follows fashion do you feel the need to always go out and buy an item of clothing that has just been brought out so you can show others??

Its always baffled me when I hear that people must always have a new item of clothing because someone dictated they needed to get it. I have always gone away from fashion as it brings too much chaos into one's life, well mine anyway if it ever did. Also being poor doesn't help either.

    Re: Fashion Icon

I neither follow fashion icons nor follow fashion. Like Sazzy, it baffles me that so many people follow fashion.
I wear what I want to wear and when I want to wear it.
