I never say anything to people about their weight.
Am I missing it, this lady look fine to me. Maybe they were thinking of Keira Knightley. Now that girl could use a burger!!
Man, give that babe a sandwich.
Hmmm, shes not as bad as Nicole Ricchi or Lindsay Lohan.
I think she's just right, man shes hot!!
Could stand to lose a little weight, not bad though.
Man, Harpoon that thing already!!
yea..it makes them feel bad about themselves..they feel as if the society is leaving them... Kinda remind me of the korean movie entitled... 200 pounds love... kinda a cute story.. xD but its about a handsome guy who loves an obese girl which in the end turns into a B.E.A utiful girl.....

A size 4 is not "average"... a size 4 is tiny.
And considering the unhealthy body image most women have thanks to beauty competitions, the media, barbie dolls, magazines and the ridiculous assumption that we all need to be size 4s (or *gasp* 0s) to make our lives worth living: I think too much is being made of a request to promote more realistic body types in a pageant.
It's not as if she was told she'd be disqualified if she didn't gain any weight.
Though that this is coming from a BEAUTY PAGEANT, the ultimate in shallow, image-based judgement of women: I think it's rather humorous.
It would be more productive to society to cancel the pageant altogether and using all of that money wasted on it to do something relevant to women's issues or society in general.
I'm a size 9 and damned proud of it.
My last girlfriend was a 12... with a G cup... yes... G... *rawr*
Now THAT'S what beauty pageants need... G-cups...
a much better suggestionIt would be more productive to society to cancel the pageant altogether and using all of that money wasted on it to do something relevant to women's issues or society in general.i totally agree on this one... ^^
yea as you've said...tsu...its a very unhealthy image...My cousin for example..she wound up in a hospital for 2 days because of slimming pills... She thinks she is too fat...
Well she is totally gorgeous to me and many guys likes her and yet... *sighs* she's even only like 60kg (not more than 68kg i think)something of weight and her height is... 160 - 165 cm something.. thats not fat... @.@

It depends on your height and body type. For her I wouldn't call her size tiny. She looks fit and has all the needed fat on her. Theres nothing wrong with a size 4 if your that way naturally and are still eating right. She looks like shes doing that, and making her pudgy wouldn't make her healthy.A size 4 is not "average"... a size 4 is tiny.

No we don't need to be all size 4's, but we don't need to promote being fat or letting our bodies go, and when i hear "realistic body types" i think fat. What we need to promote is being fit and healthy for our body types. Not "Hey i'm 50 lb. overweight but i'm still beautiful" crap. Thats as bad as being anorexic.

Ahhhh, gross. What we need is B or C cups. Now thats heaven. You know what that does to your back??
Size 12 sounds kinda beefy to me, but your size 9 sounds healthy to me(If your kinda tall that is).
I'm 5'4" (ie. not tall), bike 5 miles a day and do all of my communting on foot or by bike. I eat 3 meals a day, I don't drink soda, I don't "snack", I don't drink beer... I've done nothing to "let myself go", this is who I am.
I'm afraid a great deal of what determines your body shape is genetic and related directly to inherited factors that you can not control (metabolism, thyroid issues, your parents' body shape, their parents' body shape, etc). Thanks to my SKELETON, I would never fit into any jeans under a size 6 reguardless of how much weight I lost... because I have a pelvis. To imply that everyone over a size 4 is "fat" and letting themselves go says to me you've bought into the proliferation of the image that everyone needs to be tiny to be attractive.
It's not true.
Morbid obesity is terrible for you, yes. When you're so heavy that it affects your ability to move, fit through doorways and puts a strain on your heart: you have issues. But there is nothing wrong with weighing more than the combined mass of your bones, skin and eyeballs.
"healthy" is different for everyone. Most models are not "healthy" by a longshot. They make a living on their looks and spend quite a lot of time with their personal trainers and shoving toothbrushes down their throats in public restrooms to maintain their "healthy" figures. If Miss England is angsting about beefing up with "fish oils and avacados"... it sounds to me as though she's micromanaging her weight just a wee bit.
See if you ask solking he will confirm that my Diet isn't healthy. Although when I was in NY, I was cooked great food and happily ate it *hummmm chicken*. I am someone who doesn't care what she eats its just how many times a day. When I was at University, I would only have one cooked meal every two days. I was trying to loose weight by starving myself I suppose. Of course that's probably why my mother says I need fattening up.

^_^ Soshi thinks i'm fine the way i am, but i think i could stand to lose a few pounds... im a bit tubbier then i was in high school... i miss wearing a size 10!!! ah well...
anyway, i was always under the impression that English girls were so skinny! but i guess that's just in movies, huh? i think Miss England looks great, i agree that curves on a woman is way sexier than stickness. having curves shows your feminimity more, gives a softer look. and on a more animalistic level, it shows that you're more fertile and better made for child bearing, but that's something else all together...
