Gender Roles

Many people see it as its the guys job to treat the girl on dates. That he is suppose to do it weather he wants to or not. I disagree with that, I do it because I want to and I like to do that sorta thing and not because I have to.

I guess that's kind of an expectation of our society. On a date, the guys do usually pay first. I agree with your notion of having fun is more important than what the guy can pay for. That's a very good trait.

With the girls I dated, they usually expect me to pay for most of the things. Sometimes, my date would be nice enough to pay for all the little things she wanted like gum or candy. For instance, when I usually take my date to the movies, we usually agree that I would pay for our tickets and she can pay for the popcorn. I usually don't really care for popcorn so it would not be really a problem for me.

i dont like gender roles..if i liked a guy, I asked him out. i pay half. i can open my door, i wont be insulted if he doesnt. if i ask a girl, we both pay, and so on so forth.. to me i like equality, but if he is a gentlemen, i like it. and ill always have manners for a girl as well.etc etc
