Well my answer is: "No." I don't think I would be happy if I was rich. You might leave me if I'm too rich :P (hurting your sence of honour and all that stuff :P) Lots of money don't mean you will be happy, you can buy lots of stuff and everything, but it is true what they say: "Money can't buy you love" (ok, i think it was "happiness", but simply quoting this would lose me so many credits!) You can of course be loved more because you have lots of money, but money attracts bad people and you might fall in love with the wrong one. Or the real one can become greedy...
Also, I would freak out walking around being rich- I would be the first target for a kidnaping or burglary... no one can feel happy not feeling secure.

As for the second minor question. Yes and no? It depends on how I live. I could be happy with no money whatsoever if I was living somewhere deep in the country, growing my own food and with no need to have any money. But that is simply not possible in today's world (you need to pay rent, and your children need a school and friends). therefore I need to go with what the most want from their lifes and have a nice house, a car, enough money to buy food and clothes and still get some luxuries like a trip to France twice a year (eeek I don't even like France!).

In the end. My happiness would be to be with my one true love. There is nothing else I'd need, because I'm sure we could make the world work for us together ^^

anything to add by your own that has something to do with this topic is ok

happiness to me is comfort, love and no fear. being rich does not mean happiness, and it isnt important unless it affects the relationship, then it isnt really that great of a relationship.

happiness come from me and from my heart not from being rich .... happiness you can never buy it by money and no one can take it from you unless you want sadness and i don't think that anyone want that sadness ..... =^_^=

To me meaningful happiness in my life means that I have freedom to do whatever I wish to do and there is no one in my way to stop me. having peace and tranquility and not a lot of drama in my life, so that I have time to concentrate on the more important things rather than on the stupid and selfish ones. Being able to do the things that i love such as sports and traveling and so on. No, I would not say that being rich would bring happiness to me. i have everything that I need right now to stay happy and I am so far from being rich. I mean, what person in not happy when they have money in their pocket and food on their table and they do not have to worry about paying their next mortgage payment or their gas or electricity bill. But when a person gets too involved in money, they loose the true meaning of happiness.

freedom give me the happiness and the confident of my self .... so easy to fined happiness but by yourself by the thing that you find it is the right thing to do ,no one can make the happiness you want in your life ... knowing what you have to do to search for your happiness that you want ... =^_^=

Everyone kept saying that being rich does'nt mean you are happy.. and yet everyone wants to be rich..

how silly this world is nowadays when you think of it... everything is going upside down...

Good ^^ very true indeed... money is quite important in this world and the century we are at... i just wish everything can be as free as air.. which one day we might need to pay to breath...

Actually I think there has been a time before us, when there was a tax on breathing air... I don't remember where and when, but I do remember such a fact... People try to earn with everything that's available. You can also buy canned Alpine air... ~.~ I think it's so silly... Go out in the country and you'll get the same extasy! duh!

Well saying that rich doesn't make you happy, doesn't mean the person doesn't want to be rich. Everyone might sometimes find it attractive to be rich, have a nice black mercedes, a huge glass house with a pool on the roof and so one... We might understand it doesn't make you happy, but there are very few people, who would say "no" to 10 million that he has won in a lottery- it's still great to be rich!

i find my happiness when i talk to my friends and i love talking to my friends

and i find my happiness when i wrote dairy

especial when i wrote about what had happen to me everyday ^_^ ..... i don't need money to be happy so i feel happy with all i love and with my teddy bear -_^ ... oh and i find my happiness with watching TV and movies

Hiya, Ray! I'll have to go with Aristotle on this one: Happiness ain't merely having the feeling, for the feeling may not be there some of the time; rather, happiness is the state of possessing a good soul.

How does one come to possess a good soul? His soul becomes good when he makes it a point to consistently know and believe in what is true and do what is right and just.

Having all the money in the world is no guarantee that you'll "feel" happy, let alone "be" happy, but I hear it helps.

does money really bring happiness if you cant get what you want in life. is money important in life if you cant get the person you love to love you back. so its a no for me

but happiness for me its that im still alive and still living on and that i can still go on to live tommorow, and meeting new people

yes meeting new people bring me happiness too

and that is right we are a lives we can do what ever make us happy like reading, go out with friends, watching new anime or old or the one you are watching now
